Inverter type ACU generally are more expensive than non-inverters. As an example, the market price for a Carrier brand, 1 HP (horsepower) inverter type ACU is around P33,000.00 and a non-inverter ACU price of same capacity and brand is only around P 26,000.00.
But considering the high cost of electrical utilities nowadays. inverter type ACU's will be a wise choice in the long run.
Why?
Because it can let you save up to 60% on your electricity bill.
How?
1. Inverter type ACUs have the ability to operate in full power once turned on to quickly bring the room temperature to set temperature. Non-inverter ACUs take sometime to do this resulting to high electricity consumption.
2. Inverter type ACU's compressor is controlled by an inverter that adopts to the room requirement. If there are more occupants in the room, the inverter provides the right power to deliver the needed temperature. If there are less occupants, less power is consumed. Non-inverter's compressors are not controlled. When the demand is high, it turned on and when low, it turned off causing unnecessary energy consumption.

The inverter type ACU has the ability to to cool the room 1.5 times faster than the non-inverter type. And because its compressors are controlled, it is capable of meeting different room occupancy levels, thus ensuring constant comfort. For non-inverter ACUs, once the compressor automatically turns off, you can immediately feel the dramatic drop in temperature.
